Sheringham and District Flower Club

For our April meeting Gill Shanks from Peterborough chose for her title ‘This Wonderful World,’ and was able to show us how she was influenced by a book by world famous flower arranger Julia Clements, that she bought when at school, and how she went on to become the founder Chairman of Werrington Flower Club and now their president.

She also organises the distribution of the Flower Arranger magazine which she skilfully advertised with one of her arrangements, also giving us many useful tips including different ways to trim ‘fatsia’ leaves and how to grow plants from cuttings.
Her final arrangement was in three parts the top placement included a wonderful model of the world, a most enjoyable evening for all our members.

Our next meeting is May 7th. Our demonstrator will be Alison Cushing with ‘It’s all been done before’. Doors open at 7pm for refreshments demonstration at 7.30pm a short break is taken at half time. Join us for flowers, fun and friendship.
