Celebrity Wildlife Photographer's visitNorth Norfolk Photographic Society was honoured by world famous wildlife photographer David Tipling, who showed some of his pictures from all over the world.
David is well-known in Norfolk - he lives locally and is one of the people behind the excellent Photographers' Gallery, near the Post Office in Holt. One of his recent books - the RSPB Guide to Digital Wildlife Photography - was on display (and for sale!)
If you stick a pin in a map of the world, David has photographed the things living there! He said he especially likes cold places - and nearly got stranded in Antarctica once while there to photograph penguins! But there were also leopards, a zebra (being eaten by a crocodile) as well as ordinary British Foxes and Herring Gulls.
The last meeting of the Society this season will be on Wednesday 13th May at Loades
Hall, Holt starting at 7.30 pm when Dave Stewart will show 'Prints That Please Me', and
visitors will be very welcome. |

All were accompanied by Dave's witty explanation and comment. He is an expert in the use of the photo editing computer program Photoshop - and showed how you can 'fake' a picture so that the viewer (even a judge) will not notice! But it helps if you do not include the same red boat too often.
