High Kelling helps to "Stop the Drop"High Kelling Parish Council supported the Clean Up Norfolk event as part of national
volunteers week. The main A148 was a special target, and armed with yellow Hi-Vis jackets, rubber gloves and litter-picker tongs, a real difference was made in the course of the morning.
The volunteers were rewarded afterwards with coffee and biscuits in High Kelling Social Centre.
"It was really good to see a really useful job being really well done."

Round Table Euro-Meeting Goes FrenchSheringham & Cromer Round Table President Malcolm Fisher travelled to Les Sables d'Olonne in France to join twin Table's from Sweden, Holland, Germany and France for the annual Euro-Meeting, well that was plan. Unfortunately on arrival news came that the Swedish contingent from Flen thanks to the good services of Ryan Air were stranded at Stansted and instead of arriving on the Wednesday evening could not get a flight until Friday. Thoughts of expensive nights in hotels came to mind or even giving up on the Euro-meeting completely and returning to Sweden until the Sheringham & Cromer Round Tablers came to the rescue. The party of six from Sweden were home hosted in Sheringham & Cromer and day of activity hastily arranged for them on the Thursday before they attended the regular Round Table meeting in the evening. Extra bikes were laid on so they could take part in a ride around the local countryside before a meal at the Roman Camp. Round Table Flen Chairman Tommy was blown away by the hospitality shown, but ex Sheringham & Cromer chairman Alan Murchinson, commented it's just what we do when friends are in trouble. So the Euro-Meeting had to start without the Flen party and after a welcome meal on the beach on the Thursday evening, it was up early on the Friday for a morning fishing trip. A few mackerel were caught, but clearly the expert fishermen were the Gannets and Shearwaters that were constantly around the boat. Between the fishing plenty of food and the odd glass of champagne were consumed. Joined by the Swedes at last on Friday evening, abundant portions of locally caught fish were eaten washed down with red wine also locally produced. An evening where the common language was laughter was rounded off when Les Sables d'Olonne Chairman Sebastian joined a new member to the French Table. A picnic by the beach was the feature of Saturday. The French love of food was again demonstrated with a fantastic selection of seafood and cold meats, and leisurely afternoon followed before another fantastic meal at the local casino. Dancing followed into the small hours of the morning. Too soon it was time for the goodbyes, until it happens all again in Holland next year. Malcolm complimented the French Tablers as superb hosts and they demonstrated in exactly the same measure as the Sheringham Cromer Tablers did for the Swedish party exactly what Round Table is about, having fun and making great friendships.
