CALLING ALL MEN IN NORFOLK & WAVENEY!
February is the month to put away the razor and instead grow a beard and/or moustache
in our 'Finest Fuzz' initiative and raise funds for Big C and help Norfolk and Waveney's
own cancer charity in its fight against cancer.
Sharon Hulbert, PR & Corporate Fundraising Relations Manager for Big C said,
"Last year we wanted to come up with an idea that would be easy to do but could also
be a bit of fun and our Fuzzy Feb raised in excess of £4,000 by those who took part. We
wanted to give something for the men to take part in as so much of the money we raise is
for equipment and research into cancers that affect men, including prostate cancer. This
is also a great excuse to avoid shaving for a whole month or even longer for those who
would like their results judged later in the year by a local celebrity and we would love
to see the before and after photos so that we can judge the most impressive beards and
moustaches. We would also like companies to get behind the idea and support their staff,
perhaps by running their own company competitions."
Big C will supply everything you need to get you started, including a sponsorship form
and some pics of some very impressive beards and taches that may just inspire you. Big C
also plans to put a selection of your photos on their website, www.big-c.co.uk.

Big C delivers services & funding across the whole spectrum of the fight against
cancer. We provide funding for research and clinical services and run a purpose built
centre providing support, information and counselling for those affected by cancer. We
also provide support for those with terminal cancer. |
All of our support and services
are dedicated to the people of Norfolk and Waveney. Working with local clinicians,
healthcare managers and patients we are now developing detailed plans for our future
investment in each of these areas. We aim to provide just that extra little help which can
make all the difference locally.
