CATS PROTECTIONLenin, one of Stephanie's cats, recently had an accident and broke the elbow joint on one of his front legs. He has had an operation to insert pins to repair the damage, and is now on cage rest for 4 weeks. Lenin, a lovely fluffy white cat, was originally one of our kittens in care and is well known to all visitors to the cats at Dilham. Although he is an active cat, he has adapted well to his enforced rest. We are all looking forward to him returning to his patrols of the cat pens, once fully recovered. Many of you will have benefited in the past from help given with neutering your cat with one of our pink or blue vouchers. A new system will be introduced shortly with regard to these. At present we require the person's name and address, the sex of the cat and name of the vet doing the operation (so that we can send the voucher direct to them). In future we will also need the name and age of the cat being neutered. We would therefore be grateful, if you would like help with neutering your cat, you could have all this information to hand before calling Stephanie. For multi-cat households and feral colonies we will be introducing a new yellow voucher with a slightly different system. For multi- cat households we will need to know how many cats of each sex. For feral colonies we will not have this information until after the cats have been neutered. The new system will help Head Office obtain a clearer picture on how the money allocated to neutering has been spent. If you are looking for a cat please call Stephanie on 01692 535858. Alternatively you can visit http://northwalsham.cats.org.uk for a description and photographs of the cats before giving her a call on the above number. Unwanted Goods Needed!BREAK Charity needs your help! Our Charity shops are in desperate need of used quality goods, like clothes, shoes, jewellery and accessories! Anything that you dont want, that is still of good quality which we can sell, would be made very welcome!
Do you have piles of clothes that you never wear anymore? Bring them down to any of BREAKs Charity shops. Clean out the wardrobe and help a good cause at the same time. Without these donations BREAK can not continue its incredible work, offering support services for people in need. Mike Clarke, Retail Area Manager, said We are very well supported but we desperately need more clothes for children and adults. In particular, with the cold weather, many people are coming into our shops looking for warm clothes and protective wear but our stock is limited! We need continuous donations to stock our shops in order to keep bringing funds into the charity. Without your kind donations BREAK can not continue its good work, so go and raid those cupboards! BREAK shops provide vital funding for BREAKs supported holidays and respite care for people with a range of disabilities. There are 24 BREAK Charity shops in East Anglia. Bring along items during open hours, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. |
