Environmental Awareness
The Environment and Sustainable Development are increasingly strategic themes which
organisations seeking project funding must address. The changing needs of lenders and
investors and increasing environmental legislation means businesses are having to address
their environmental performance. But the up side is that businesses are able to impact on
their bottom line through savings on borrowing and insurance costs by demonstrating their
environmental awareness
A FREE Environmental Awareness training course leading to a certificate
in environmental awareness will be held at the
Sports Pavilion (behind the Splash Leisure Centre) Sheringham on
Tuesday 3 April 2007
from 10.00am to 4.00pm.
This course will help to provide you with the skills to make your current
and future projects address funding bodies requirements for sustainable development.

Events Coordinator
Jason Bell
Jason has just finished collecting details of events in and around Sheringham for the next
"What's On" leaflet. He is also busy organising the Experience Sheringham stand
for "Day Out in North Norfolk". The event attended by the tourist industry will
be held in March at the Thursford Collection. In this highly competitive market, Jason
hopes to sell Sheringham and the great attractions and businesses we have. He will also
canvas businesses in Sheringham to ask if they would like to be included in the
"Where to Eat", "Where to Stay" and "Where to Go" leaflet
and on the experiencesheringham website.
If you would like your business to be included then please contact Jason via email: Jason@sheringhamplus.co.uk
Oddfellows & Otterndorf
Work will begin soon on two major projects in the town. The first to start will be the
updating and landscaping of Otterndorf Green. This area has been altered recently by work
on the North Norfolk Railway, but it is hoped that the Otterndorf project will return the
area to its former glory.
The next
project to begin will be the work on refurbishing and bringing back into use the
Oddfellows Hall. Once work is completed the building will be a community venue.
