On a lighthearted note, should Tesco be given planning permission for their new super store in Sheringham, may I suggest that NNDC impose one condition, that Tesco play over their in-store tannoy, Ghost Town, by the Specials, once an hour.

3. The hat is on the hat stand or under the stairs.

Well off we go again. If Tesco put plans in to build on the moon the protesters would be there trying to get it turned down just because there are people that don't like successful companies. But at the end of the day where would we be without our big superstores they keep inflation down give people a lot of jobs and give us the service that we need. So no matter what the protesters say the people of Sheringham and all the surrounding villages need a Tesco supermarket.

A Tesco store to serve the 40,000 people that live in the 10 mile radius of Sheringham. This last week I have travelled 800 miles through towns that have Tesco stores and seen there towns busy and alive and I have been to towns that don't have a Tesco and half the shops closed. Anyone that is in doubt of that I can show that this is very true. All you people out there that would like this Tesco in Sheringham, (and I know there are many,) fight for it, write to your council, write to your MP, write to the newspapers, join the pro Tesco group.

The anti Tesco protesters have vowed to fight twice as hard this time to try and stop Tesco coming to Sheringham. So we must fight twice as hard as them to ensure we enhance Sheringham with this fantastic store. The anti tesco protesters are now trying to say this store is too big for Sheringham but they are forgetting those 40,000 people that live in the 10 mile radius of Sheringham they are also forgetting all the visitors that come here every year, that brings it up to around 60,000 so I think we may need a Tesco extra. The anti Tesco protesters have 3,500 names on a petition against the Tesco store. 3,500 out of 60,000 people and then they call this democracy. I don't think so. Allan Pemberton.

My own personal veiw on the supermarket issue is that a big out of town superstore would spoil the little sea side town of Sheringham, I come and visit several times a year when the children are on school holidays, I think it's fine as it is, "dont fix what is not broken" springs to mind! I love the husle and busle of the little place and it`s so friendly, can you imagine it with hardly anyone about in the out of season months when every one is at the supermarket. Thankyou for taking the time to read this, Richard Raven, a very happy Sheringham visitor.
