Last year's celebrations went well, so this year another four-day event is planned, with activities to suit all tastes. There are walks and talks, concerts and demonstrations, with flowers and organ music in church throughout. On Thursday 21st June, in the morning, local National Trust Warden John Idiens will lead a walk around Incleborough Hill. In the afternoon, there is a guided visit to the Walled Garden at Felbrigg Hall, with a cream tea included, and in the evening a Gardeners' Question Time, in the Village Hall, with three local experts, Mike Tacchi, Bill LeGrice and Tina Hammond to try with your tricky gardening queries. On Friday in church, as well as organ music from our resident organist Brian Ball, there is an afternoon of Music and Drama by the pupils of Wood-Dene School. Their art will be on display at the same time in the Village Hall. In the evening in church we are delighted to welcome the singers of the Chamber Choir and Scola Cantorum of Gresham's School. At last year's concert we discovered that our church has glorious acoustics, so do come and hear these talented young singers. On Saturday 23rd June we start with local artist Jeannie Zelos, who will give a painting demonstration, followed by a Ploughman's Lunch in the Village Hall. In the afternoon, in church , there will be an Organ Recital by Kevin Drury, followed by an illustrated talk on The Glories of Stained Glass, with local expert Hilary Davies. That evening there will be a concert by the Moeran String Quartet, which includes a light supper. These young players aim to make the music of this lyrical Norfolk composer better known, and their programme will also include other light classical pieces. On Sunday 24th we celebrate our Patronal Festival, with Holy Communion at 9.30, and Festival Choral Evensong and Songs of Praise at 4.00 p.m. The church will be filled with flowers, and refreshments will be available at all events.
