CATS PROTECTIONSeveral strays have come into care recently and all have now gone to new homes. Jinny was found in Dilham and, after checking to see if she had been micro-chipped, she was released wearing one of our paper collars. She came in several weeks later when a pen became free and was chosen before her picture could be placed on the website. Essy had joined a feral colony on a farm and had been living rough for several months. Again, we received no response to the paper collar and she too came in and was booked
within a week. Hessy was handed in to the vets as a stray and, on checking, it was
discovered she had been micro-chipped. However, when her owners were contacted, they
indicated they no longer wanted her and she too has now left us for a more caring home. Three of the cats were booked on the day and two have now left us. The third will go to her new home once she has been spayed. We would like to thank everyone who supported us, and hope they enjoyed the stalls,
refreshments and, most importantly, seeing the cats in care.

99 Miles for BREAK!Four young men are walking the entire Norfolk coast which adds up to around 99 miles!
They are setting off on Sunday 1st July and completing the walk in five legs over 24 hours
to raise money for BREAK Charity. The four all attended Greshams School
in Holt and have been friends ever since. Daniel Kennedy, a student of Early Years
Childcare and Education and Tim Armstrong a trainee accountant, who both live in Norwich
came up with the idea of walking the Norfolk coast for charity and managed to collar two
friends into the fundraiser! Rupert Lubbock, a student in Sheffield and Sam Sharples who
works in Holland are their two friends and are returning to Norfolk for the event. Daniel
has a keen interest in BREAK due to the relationship it has to his studies, both he and
Tim have volunteered for BREAK in the past and have been keen to continue their support.

Walpole Cross Keys just west of Kings Lynn and the boys will cross the
finish line in Hopton-on-Sea on 5th July. They will be camping overnight along the walk
which crosses through Wells-next-to-Sea, Weybourne and Sea Palling to name but a few! They
are hoping to raise over £2,000 for BREAK Charity, who offer supported holidays and
respite care for children and adults with a range of disabilities. In turn the families
and carers can have a well earned rest from the strains of full time caring. Daniel
Kennedy said, Tim and I have both volunteered for BREAK before and we both view the
charity as a great cause. We both came up with the idea for a coastal walk which resulted
in the four of us walking the entire Norfolk coast! Were really looking forward to
it but hope that it doesnt turn out to be a typical British summer with lots of
rain!! Liz Holman, Community Fundraiser at BREAK said, We are delighted that
Dan, Tim, Rupert and Sam have chosen to support BREAK, it is a really interesting
challenge which will bring the whole of the Norfolk community together and raise money for
BREAKs vital services. Its a real pleasure to see young people rallying
together to support local charities. If you would like to sponsor the boys
