On 12th May we had our social evening at the Morley Club, Sheringham, it was a very enjoyable evening with several members attending, young and old. There were also some members from other local branches. There was great entertainment provided by one of Norfolk's finest, Winston the Singing Farmer. He played three great sets featuring songs by the Norfolk legend, The Singing Postman, also many great jokes and tales of Winston's own childhood on a farm. There was a wonderful buffet supplied by The Morley Club which was enjoyed by all, there was also a raffle with many great prizes.

I would like to take this opportunity to say a big thank you to Robin and the bar staff of the Morley Club for being so welcoming and efficient. To Paul and Melanie for the great organisation of this event, and to Bunty for her part in arranging the sale of the entrance tickets and all those who played a part in ensuring the evening was a resounding success.

Anybody wishing to get more information on the Sheringham & District Branch of the Royal British Legion, please contact myself, Mr D F Farrow Branch Chairman on 07786 493 867 or our Secretary Melanie Clarke on 01263 588082.
