NORTH NORFOLK FIT TOGETHER

Join the North Norfolk Fit Together Project Today and get Active
Fit Together is a countywide project developed and delivered by Lloyds pharmacy and Active Norfolk to encourage increased activity and a healthier lifestyle. Activities also offer a social outlet and a chance to make new friends and have fun. The core of the North Norfolk scheme involves health walks but also includes keep fit, cycling (in Spring and Summer), tea-dancing, line dancing and badminton.

Walks cater for complete beginners to advanced walkers and are offered every day of the week across North Norfolk from the Sheringham Cromer area to Wells, Fakenham, North Walsham and the North Norfolk side of Aylsham.

The tea-dance is held at the Copeman Centre in Briston from 2-4pm on a Tuesday afternoon.

Line Dancing is held at the St. Andrews Church Hall in Holt on a Wednesday from 2:30-4:30pm and keep fit occurs every Thursday from 4:30 to 5:30pm at the Sheringham Community Centre.

Badminton takes place at the Coronation Hall in Mundesley on a Friday afternoon from 1:30 to 3:30pm.

Except for badminton no booking is necessary and walks are free of charge. All other activities are just £2.00.

You can pick up the latest programme of activities at any Lloyds pharmacy and many local libraries or alternatively you can contact the North Norfolk coordinator, Melanie Brown, on (01263) 516029 or 07826869377 for information or to be sent a programme. SANTA'S COMING EARLY THIS YEAR

This year, Santa arrives on the Poppy Line over the weekend of November 29th and 30th, when he'll be taking up residence in his Enchanted Grotto at Weybourne Station ready to welcome children young and old.

There are two Santa Special steam trains from Sheringham direct to the Grotto each day that weekend. Then Santa Specials run more frequent services on December weekends, culminating in daily trains from Saturday 20th up to and including Christmas Eve, Wednesday 24th. Fares range from £10.50 to £12.50, depending on time of travel, with tickets for infants up to 1 at £5.
When you book, you'll be asked to give the ages of children in your party so Santa can get suitable presents for them.

Each train has a licensed buffet/restaurant car. During the journey, grown-ups get treated to a glass of sherry and a mince pie, whilst children enjoy a soft drink and a chocolate treat.
All the carriages will be festooned with Christmas decorations and balloons, and Norfolk's top children's entertainers, Ruben, Justso James and Marlene, will make the trip extra special.

Marketing manager Colin Borg says: "It's a bit of real Christmas magic - but to make sure you don't miss out, you need to book right away, as the trains are already filling up fast."

You can book online at www.nnrailway.co.uk , by phoning 01263 820 800 or by calling at Sheringham Station office.

Sheringham and District Flower Club

We were very lucky to have David Thomson, who is now a National Demonstrator, for our October meeting and he gave us a kaleidoscope of colour, each arrangement being monochrome. Containers used ranged from a basket for yellow flowers, a pewter jug for blue and pur-ple, a large bamboo vase for greens, then a huge wooden trine like bowl for pink and grey ending with a Japanese lacquer pot for peach and orange.

Along with his entertaining tales he also imparted many useful tips which all contributed to a most entertaining evening.
Next meeting is November 6th. Refreshments are from 7pm with the demonstration commencing at 7.30pm. Demonstration is by Eleanor Howard Norwich entitled 'The Full Monty'.

Join us for flowers, fun and friendship.
