UK PITBULLS |
We are a brother tag team and currently
wrestle as the UK Pitbulls. We both have had a lot of experience in singles and tags, for
the first 2 years mainly on the UK holiday camp circuit doing 2 matches a day 5 days a
week for 3-4 months in the summer. In the last year we have done more Hall shows and have
wrestled on the UK tours of Tatanka, Earthquake, Bushwackers and other Internationals.
Competing against, Earthquake, the Bushwackers, Jake the Snake, Greg Valentine, Shiniro
Ohtani and others. We have appeared on local TV, Trisha, Documentaries on Channel 5 and
ITV 2, in an independent film called "Slumber Party"and the BBC 6'o'clock news.
We appeared on Channel 4's The Big Breakfast where we wrestled and took part in the games.

Mike also plays drums in a rock band and has 2 self financed albums with his former band
Spot. He is now playing in two bands as well as filling in now and again for Spot. Dave
competes in strongman competitions and has reached the UK finals 3 years running gaining a
second place in `95. He is now on a major comeback and will be competing heavily in 2002.
We now wrestle freelance and have appeared for companies such as K-Star, BRAWL, SCW and
PWA. In November and December 2001 we embarked upon a successful tour of the USA for the
AIWF in which we visited North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee. The biggest moment
of the tour was when we won the AIWF World Hardcore Tag Titles in Little Milligan,
Tennessee. We also trained at the world famous Golds Gym, Myrtle Beach S.C. and trained
with former WCW wrestler The Stro(formerly the Maestro) at his training facility in
Jacksonville N.C. As of March 2002 we currently hold Tag Belts in 4 promotions - BRAWL,
FWA, AIWF and PWA. On April 7th 2002 we added another title, the K-Star tag belts-now
holding a record breaking 5 titles at the same time.

| WAS
IT MR KIMM? |
 |
|
Once
again we had an excellent response to this photograph, we can now confirm that it was
definitely Mr Kimm as Mrs O'Regan not only confirmed it, but also brought in the photo
shown on the right.Answers to "Who are they?" in issue 13 have also been
flooding in, we still have a few missing names, so if you know who they are, please let us
know at the paper. |
Apparently, it was taken in
approximately 1948-49 and was of the Youth Centre Sports team in Norfolk Road.
Front Row: Poppy Grice, Shirley Reynolds, Ann Stevens, Maisey Gee, Colleen Pretty, Janet
Bishop. Kneeling behind them: ?, ?, Pam Johnson, Ann Daglass. The lady behind Ann is Pat
Lusher, and the lady behind Poppy is Ruth Shoulders. Back Row: second along from left is
Kenny Bayfield, next to Ruth is Bernard Shepherd, then Richard Little. Second from the
right is Mr Broughton. We also believe that one of them is a Mr Woodhouse, son of Caline.
Thanks to all including Shirley Pitt, Brenda Downing and Fay Abbs. |
