Mencap Society |
The North Norfolk Society of Mencap has, for many years,
provided an invaluable service of support, advice and social activity for those in the
area with learning disability and their families and carers. Throughout the year the small
committee organises events to entertain or inform and also meets to help in specific cases
of need.
Like all voluntary bodies we have a continuing need for people to help in the running of
the Society, this year we especially need officers and active committee members; in fact
if new members are not found the Society is in danger of disbanding with all the
consequent hardship to members. The task is not onerous, we meet every five to six weeks,
but the results are important to those who need the help.
If you think that you can help, or can persuede someone to do so, then please contact Tim
Melton on 01692 402236 or come along to the AGM at Charles Road Day Services at 7.30 on
25th June. We promise that you will enjoy it and that we will not land you with a lot of
work that you do not want.
Tim Melton. Chairman.
