CARNIVAL QUEEN 2003

Sheringham Carnival Queen Selection Dance was held at the Sheringham Social Club on Tuesday 27th May and was a very successful evening.

The evening was compered by Greg Martin of Radio Broadland and he was accompanied by the Black Thunder Girls. The evening began with Greg interviewing the contestants and culminated in the election of Natasha McColl as Carnival Queen 2003.

Sheringham Community Paper

Natasha is a worthy winner, with a lovely personality and is currently studying Health and Social Care and Psychology at Sheringham High School and is going on to the sixth form in September. She works at the Feathers in Holt as a Chambermaid at the moment, but wants to work with children in her future career. Natasha has already begun fulfilling her Carnival Queen duties, she was interviewed by Radio Norfolk on The Crown Car Park on 30th May and as the saying goes, 'she did us proud'.

Her two attendants are Chloe Green who is studying Performance Arts, English and CLAIT at Paston College. Chloe would like to be involved in Drama but realises that it is a hard road. Shelley Steed, a waitress at the Red Lion in Upper Sheringham also attends Sheringham High School and is hoping to take a year out to travel the world. We hope you all enjoy the Carnival - you deserve it.

WHO OR WHAT ARE THEY?
We know how you all love the old photographs we have been publishing in past issues and we have had many answers about who they were. Once we have collated all the information we will publish the result. Meanwhile, with this year's Carnival fast approaching here are a few more for you.
Sheringham Community Paper
First of all, who was the Queen and in what year? Who is this doing the crowning ceremony? Are you one of the attendents?
Sheringham Community Paper
There is a great story behind this one, do you know anything about it? Please let us know.
We are going to try to put old Carnival photos in each issue for the lead up to this year. If you have any good one, let us have them, if they don't go in the paper they will go on the Carnival Web Site. Visit www.sheringhamcarnival.co.uk to see this years programme so far and a few details of years gone by.
