NEW FEATURE
KIDS SAY THE FUNNIEST THINGS
Have you any funny stories about things your children have said?
Let us have them, we would love to hear from you. |
Dear @ Sheringham
My granddaughter used to say SERVARY for CONSERVATORY.
Also, when she was about 2 and a half years old, we had to get up at 1:00am for an early
holiday start. Getting her stool and looking out of the window, she said, "put the
light on Nanny, I want to see the dark".

| THE BEACH |
| The town was crammed full of people over the half-term
visiting our lovely town and of course its beach. They can appreciate its quaintness and
the luxury of having the sea on our doorstep, but there are so many of us who live here
who take it for granted. When was the last time you took yourself down to the beach for a
read, or to play with the kids? Believe it or not we have award winning beaches, the
quality of the water has improved (although we can't do very much about the temperature),
we have a stretch of the beach where lifeguards attend, you can grab an ice cream or a cup
of tea all along the prom, or you can get away from the busy beaches at either end of the
prom. Kids love nothing more than to build sandcastles, nose around the rock pools and
paddle in the water, and what a treat to have a picnic on the sand! They usually end up
with new friends by the end of the day too. Those once unsightly boulders are now little
suntraps waiting for you to relax on and read that book you've never made time for. Best
of all, it doesn't cost a bean. So when the sun is shining and you just can't think what
to do, save your pennies and get down to the beach. |
