It was announced today, 8th August, that Travel Norwich
Airport has sold its Sheringham operation to CAS Travel for an undisclosed sum. The deal
sees CAS Travel move from its present location in Sheringham to the former TNA offices in
Church Street, Sheringham. Hugh Lawson, managing director of Travel Norwich Airport and
Norwich International said, 'Following an internal review of our agency operations and a
series of discussions with the other Sheringham agency, CAS Travel, we feel we have come
to the best conclusion for all parties. While strictly a take over, we see this as very
much a co-operative arrangement'.

'CAS will be moving into our former premises and all jobs, from both agencies, are secure.
I am sure CAS will continue to be very supportive of the ever-increasing number of holiday
destinations we are offering from Norwich International'.
He continued, 'The review also decided to open a new Travel Norwich Airport shop in
Norwich's Castle Mall which is trading above expectations, and our airport branch
continues to perform extremely well. As a company we will continue to look at
opportunities to improve and expand the business'.

Christina Schwab from CAS Travel added, 'We are delighted to have acquired Travel Norwich
Airport's Sheringham business. We pride ourselves on our friendly and professional service
and look forward to assisting clients, old and new, with their travel arrangements. We
were out growing our existing premises in Co-Op Street so are looking forward to the move
into a bigger branch. We will continue to specialise in Norwich departures, which accounts
for a considerable amount of our business.'
CAS Travel, formed by partners Christina Schwab and Stuart Harrald, opened its first
agency in Sheringham in 1999 and additional branches are now open in Cromer and Holt. A
further one is due to open in Wells on 1st September. |
