READERS LETTER
If you want tourists to come to Sheringham you're going the wrong way about it. I visited Sheringham with my husband and 3 children last week. We were treated disgracefully and will never return. On arrival we decided to have a family game of putting but were told we had to go round as a 3 and a 2 and not as a family. The children really wanted to play so we agreed, but my two girls, who were playing second, kept wanting me to see how they were doing and ask me for help to get better. I obviously talked to them and didn't ignore them. We were the only people there, but by hole 4 we were ordered to leave for breaking the 'rule' of only 4 people playing together. We weren't even playing together!!! and who in their right mind, on an empty course, would refuse to let a family talk to each other? We left for Cromer instead and had a lovely family time there.  A. Sweeney
BROADBAND UPDATE
So how is the campaign going? Well our target is 500 registrations of interest at which point the broadband service will become a reality. As of Friday 8th of July we had reached 136 registrations of interest, 27% of the target. Thanks again to everyone who has registered so far. Over 30 of you have registered in the last month, which means if we keep this up we will hit the trigger in 12 months time! But don't despair, what typically happens is that the nearer the target the quicker the momentum gets and the more notice BT takes.
Its simple to register and commits you to nothing but provides everyone the option of having this much better service! Register your interest in broadband today! Registering now does not commit you in any way to taking the broadband service but does help towards the service becoming available in the Sheringham area. You don't need to be an existing user of the Internet to register your interest. To help register your interest you will find a paper insert in this issue, which can be completed and returned by post or handed into the At-Sheringham office. Alternatively you can register online at http://www.at-sheringham.co.uk or via local service provider Paston Chase http://www.paston.co.uk who will be happy to answer any queries you may have about broadband. Their number is 01603 502061. Please register now whilst you are thinking about, it really will make a difference. The information you provide will not be used for any other purpose other than this campaign to get broadband in Sheringham. Why should you register? BT Broadband is between 10 and 40 times faster than the current services, much more reliable and has the option to be connected at all times. This has major advantages to business in terms of productivity and responsiveness; it also makes online learning and education via the Internet a far more practical proposition. In addition: - It doesn't tie up your phone line, whist the Internet is being used so you are free to make and receive phone calls whilst connected to the Internet using the same single BT phone line. It is a fixed monthly cost for Internet Access irrelevant of the amount of use, so no need to worry about the size of the Internet phone bill. It opens opportunities for everyone from businesses to individuals, to make far more effective use of the Internet. You will be helping others in the Sheringham area by giving them the option to benefit from broadband. We look forward to reporting on progress in the next issue. In the meantime if you have any suggestions on how the target of 500 can be reached, then let us know. We will be happy to hear from you, please ask you friends and colleagues to register with the broadband campaign.
Don't forget, to register your interest in Broadband, please complete the flyer in this issue and return it to our office, Norfolka2z, opposite Tourist Information or do it on-line, details above. We need your interest!

There were lots of workman around a portaloo and I desperately needed to go, so I took my small daughter with me. No sooner had we got in than she shouted out, "Do you need a number 1 or number 2 Mummy?"
