| AFTER SCHOOL
CLUB |
Sheringham Project's After School Club is desperately in
need of a Playleader to run the After School and Holiday Club at Sheringham Primary.
This is a new venture we have been following, the committee has been working towards this
for 2 years and everything is coming together. They have the premises, they have the
equipment, they have the team, all they need is you. It would be such as shame if the
project didn't happen as Sheringham has many parents needing this childcare facility.
The successful candidate will need to hold an NVQ level 3 Early Years Care & Education
or equivalent qualification and have experience of supervising or running a group. The
hours are 20 per week term time and 30 hours during school holiday at £7.00 per hour. If
anybody is interested please contact Michelle Arnold on 820184 for an application pack. |

| STORYSACK
MORNING |
The new term is almost upon
us, (where did the holidays go) and Sheringham Nursery is about to start another Storysack
Morning. Last year the whole event proved to be a great success both for the Nursery in
gaining some fantastic stories for the kids to enjoy but also for the mums and dads
involved in making them with the majority of the parents and friends returning and raring
to go with new stories chosen by Hillary Scargill at the Nursery. "It's
something we all look forward to" said one Mum, "I know that my child is having
just as good a time as me making new friends and playing under professional supervision
with all the Nursery equipment. It gives me a two and a half hour break from the kids with
real, uninterrupted adult conversation I crave all week, a few cups of tea I can drink
whilst still hot and of course the pick of the biscuit tin without having to share them
with some grubby mitts."
"I didn't do needlecraft at school and so I couldn't help in making the soft toys,
but I love drawing, so I designed a few backgrounds for the stories" said one Dad.
"I just made sure everyone had a drink" said another Dad. We're looking for
other people to join us. You don't have to be a parent of a Nursery child. You might feel
this is the only way you'll get a bit of time without your children during the week, or
use it as a way of meeting new people. Your children will be entertained and looked after
by the Sheringham Nursery staff. If there's a problem they only need to go to the next
building to let you know (how about that for peace of mind).
The Storysack Morning is on Wednesday during term-time from 9.00am to 11.00am, don't worry
if you can't attend the full session.
Anyone interested please call Lisa Othon on 01263 820229. |
| My grandson wanted to know why his hamster was always
getting into his wheel and running round and round, when it could see that it always got
off at the same place! (I know the feeling) |
