SHERINGHAM YOUTH u12
Sheringham played away to Firside 26 October.

Sheringham got off to a good start going 1-0 up in the first 15 mins with a lovely goal by J Denegri and Sheringham missed at least 4 more chances before Firside put one past the keeper making the half time score 1-1.

Both teams started the second half with the will to win. Once again Sheringham lads should have wrapped the game up with misses by William Young, Matthew Thaxter, Jamie Denegri, Anton Mandy and Jack Pasque. All would have found the back of the net on any other day, but this was not going to be Sheringhams. Against the run of play Firside scored and held on to the lead in a well-played game, the best this season. Outstanding performance by winger Hugh Ripley gave him man of the match.
SHERINGHAM LIFEBOATS
Mick Bensley was born in Sheringham, he developed a profound understanding of the sea, its moods, its awesome angers its lapping stillness. Mick also became deeply respectful of those courageous men who risk their lives amongst the sea's turbulent fury to man the lifeboats to help those in peril. He has gained an international reputation as a marine artist of skill and accuracy with paintings in private collections around the world.

Sheringham Lifeboats are portraid in a collection of over forty watercolours presenting their most notable and daring rescues. More than 700 lives have been saved in over 300 recorded launches by the Sheringham boats. The paintings depict rescues from the first lifeboat donated by the Hon. Mrs Charlotte Upcher in 1838, through the pulling and sailing era when two lifeboats operated from the town, to the dramatic rescues by the motor lifeboats of recent times. Mick Bensley has gathered information from records and lifeboatmen to ensure that each painting is authentic in every detail. In consequence, this book provides a unique testimony to the exploits of Sheringham lifeboats and their crews over the last two centuries. Mick Bensley will be available to sign books whilst the exhibition is open at The Picturecraft Gallery, Lees Courtyard, off Bull Street, Holt. 01263 711040

22-26th November 9am - 5pm. 23rd November 10am - 4pm
The book will also be on sale in Sheringham RNLI shop.

The stage is set at Cromer Road Post Office for our best ever performance.

By helping customers send their cards and deliver their gifts, Cromer Road Post Office always has a part to play at Christmas time. But traditionally it's been more of a supporting role than a starring one. Until now, that is. Because this year we are turning the spotlights on ourselves/on all the great gift ideas we have to offer and all the helpful services we provide.

We want to appeal to a wider audience. So we're coming out from behind the scenes and taking centre stage... making your Cromer Road Post Office Branch a place where people 'choose to come' rather than 'have to come'. And best of all to make sure we put on a really good show, we've come up with a campaign that guarantees we'll have fun doing it!

Let's go to Cromer Road Post Office to do our Christmas shopping and pick up the latest Post Office catalogue for all the great gift ideas and stocking fillers that are on offer at Cromer Road Post Office. Look out for the adverts leading up to Christmas.

Thought the Post Office was just for stamps?

Oh no it isn't!
