| Sheringham
Youth U12 |
Sheringham were away to Harling. The first half started
well for Sheringham, they took the game to Harling. Sheringham had some good chances saved
by a good Harling keeper. Sheringham's new worked midfield saw Anton Mandy opening the
score to put Sheringham 1-0 up within the first 15mins. Harling dug in and started to test
the back four of Sheringham and this soon paid off with the equaliser coming before the
half time whistle.
The start of the second half saw Harling putting Sheringham under pressure and soon they
went ahead with a well taken goal, but Sheringham turned up the game and soon brought the
score level again with a great goal from Matthew Thaxter. Sheringham kept up the attack on
the Harling defence and very soon the second goal from Anton Mandy put Sheringham 3-2 up.
A good run in from Jamie Denegri and cross which was headed in the net by Jack Pasque.
This wrapped the game up for Sheringham, who came away with a well-earned final score,
Sheringham 4 Harling 2.
Man of the Match - Anton Mandy
Sheringham v Salhouse
Sheringham kicked off into a strong wind and started well, settling into their recent form
but against the run of play, Salhouse scored within the first 10mins. Sheringham soon
pulled one back with a great goal from top scorer J Denegri. Unfortunately, Sheringham's
defence lost their way and Salhouse were 2-1 ahead by half time.
Sheringham started the second half with the heart to win and a brilliant goal from M
Thaxter levelled the score and from this moment Sheringham piled on the pressure. A
cracking free kick from A Mandy went into the top right hand corner of the net. This
should have put the home team ahead, but it was disallowed. Once again, against the run of
play Salhouse went ahead, Sheringham never gave up and with only minutes to go, a
brilliant strike from just over the half way line by central defender J Catterall levelled
the score. Sheringham should have won the game, as on the day they were the better team.
Final score Sheringham 3 Salhouse 3
Man of the Match William Young
Sheringham were at home to Poringland in a cup match. The home team attacked Poringland's
half from the outset and this paid off with Sheringham scoring within the first 4mins with
a good goal from J Denegri, but Poringland soon responded and a well taken shot levelled
the score. J Treanor scored from a corner to put the home team back in front and with the
score 2-1 at half time, Sheringham knew they had a chance to win this match. They came out
after the break and once again took the game to Poringland, battled hard and soon made it
3-1, with goals from A Mandy and M Thaxter. Sheringham were now 4-1 ahead, then 2 goals
from Poringland had the pressure back on Sheringham. But Sheringham managed to score yet
another to end the game victors at Sheringham 5 Poringland 3. A very good all round effort
from all of the Sheringham boys.

for Runners |
The Royal National Lifeboat Institution is appealing to
all local runners to get into top gear to participate in the Snetterton Circuit RNLI Run
on 14 December 2003. This will be a unique opportunity to run at high speeds around the
motor circuit-traffic free!
Voluntary lifeboat crews are on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and 365 days a year. In
the eastern region, there has been 210 lifeboat launches in 2003, saving 19 lives
(provisional figures).
The more runners that participate in this10k run the more funds will be raised to support
our crews saving lives at sea.
If you are able to add this information to your website this would also be a great help.
If you have any queries please do not hesitate to contact me for further details.
Thank you for supporting this great cause.

What an interesting website. I was born in West Runton and
baptised at St Peters church 49 years ago (last week!). I do get to return now and again,
sadly most of my visits now are for funeral st St Peters, the last being my grandmother
just over a year ago. She was in her 100th year. Do you have any websites on the Cromer
and Sheringham Band? I played in the band as a child with my dad and uncle.
