| Sheringham
travelled away to Heigham Park |
Sheringham scored first with a well-taken goal from J
Denegri. Sheringham were on form and a hat trick from A Mandy all three goals were superb
and gave Sheringham a great lead by half time. The opening five minutes saw Heigham put
the Sheringahm defence under pressure and they managed to score but two more goals from M
Thaxter put the game beyond Heighams reach and Sheringham finished the winners at 6.1

| W.E.A.COURSES
- January 2004 |
There is a treat in store for lovers of Art History this
coming term in Sheringham. The WEA is running a 10-week course on Early Christian and
Byzantine Art, with popular local tutor, Margaret Forrester. This course looks at the
development of Christian art from the fourth to the ninth century, as exemplified in works
from Rome, Ravenna, Sinai, Salonica and Constantinople. A major theme will be the growing
cult of the icon and the fierce controversy this aroused in a climate where art was
inseparable from religion and politics, and so was sometimes used as a propaganda tool.
The course will be held in St.Andrew's Methodist Church Hall, Cromer Road, Sheringham, on
Friday afternoons from 2.30 - 4.00 p.m., starting on January 16th. Cost £28.00.
We are also running a Day School on Winston Churchill - The Man and the Politician. The
tutor will be Peter Neville. This will also be at St.Andrew's, and is on Saturday, 13th
March, from 10.00 - 4.00 p.m. Cost £10. Pre-enrolment is essential for this.
For more information and enrolment please contact Jane Idiens on 01263 837779. All are
welcome. |

LETTER |
Mr Vic
Are you an old boy with hearing ears and not many teeth?
Sorry, I've somehow missed your very interesting written forewords. We are learning new
words and making lots of comments.
Excuse any of my mistakes, there may be quite a few. I lost 2 years and many more owing to
circumstances.
Am very pleased to see you are really serious about our youngsters and wouldn't it be
marvellous if we could be a very proud Sheringham to start to be a real help to them, the
parents and us. Will there be '' Peace in our Time''!
Cheers, from Poppy B. |

BIT OF HISTORY |
| Do you know where this is? It is not a very clear picture
and we are having difficulty establishing where it is in Sheringham. Do you know? |
 |
| We have had several suggestions, one local has said he
thinks it is what was Pratts shop, now Harveys Dry Cleaners. Another suggests it is where
Treasures is now open, at the bottom of the High Street. Does anyone out there know for
certain, if so, please let us know. |
