My name is Daniela and I come from Italy. I am looking for a person called Andy Mooney, I haven't got his father's first name so I have too many numbers to call. The guy I am seeking is 20 yrs and he is from Sheringham. Can you lend me a hand? Thanks a lot, best regards from Italy. My e-mail adress is tweety100186@hotmail.com

I would like to get in touch with a couple called Andrew & Sarah who run a B&B in Sheringham. I met them in Gozo Malta last year.

In January 2000 my daughter returned from a holiday in The Gambia. During her stay she visited a small primary school in a village at the edge of the large Gambia township of Serekunda.
Sheringham Community Paper In The Gambia, state education does not start until the age of 8, so primary education depends on help from outside organisations, voluntary workers and charities. Root Nursery School in Fajikunda is run by two qualified teachers and four assistants. Parents had to pay £1.50 per term and provide a simple uniform dress. Even so, many parents could not afford this. There were twins there on the first visit and when they turned round it was apparent that their mother had cut one dress in half and sewed straps to the back of each! Despite the obvious poverty these children were brimming over with enthusiasm and keen to show off their skills and sing their songs to us. From this small beginning emerged "Friends of Fajikunda Nursery School".
In addition to raising funds to upgrade the school buildings, we have taken out supplies of teaching materials and equipment to the school. I asked the head teacher what would be the most useful items to take on my next visit, which will be at the beginning of March. He pointed out that most of the pupils are from very poor families and if we could bring some second-hand children clothes, this would be extremely beneficial to the school and to the village community as a whole. The age range is from 3-7 years old and as it is a hot country, I would hope to take out summer clothes. Can any of your readers help! I need to receive them by end of February If so, please ring me on 01263 825032.
