ALLELUIA, time is a coming,
To be ''Happy on the Judgement Day'
Like it or not time's a humming,
The black marks are on their way.

Suppose we could make a big effort
To improve you'll forgive our Sins,
And say we are truly sorry
Then roll away with our Wheelie Bins.

The menopause &
natural hormone replacement therapy

What to do: Reduce or stop alcohol, coffee, tea and smoking. Smoking can advance the menopause by as much as 5 years and increases the risk of osteoporosis. Alcohol and hot beverages can bring on hot flushes. Decrease the stress from your life and reduce sugar intake. These both raise levels of the adrenal hormone, cortisol, which upsets the hormone balance. Decrease your intake of meat and dairy produce. These sources of saturated fats and artificial oestrogen hormones are best kept to a minimum. If you do eat meat, make sure it is organic. Replace dairy produce with calcium enriched soya milk and soya products. Soya contains natural plant oestrogens, which are beneficial. Increase dietary intake of essential fats. The body's response to hormones is also controlled by prostaglandin's, substances derived from essential fats in the diet. The best dietary sources of these are seeds and fish. Sesame and sunflower seeds are high in Omega-6 oils, while flax seeds, pumpkin seeds and carnivorous fish such as salmon; tuna, herring and mackerel are rich in Omega-3 oils. We need the equivalent of a heaped tablespoon of these combined seeds a day, or a tablespoon of their oil. Regular exercise helps by aiding the production of calcium. It also helps to relieve depression and promote relaxation. Meditation and yoga help. Do vaginal exercise; squeeze as if trying to stop urinating; hold for 4 seconds and release, repeating this 10 times. Massage with essential oils of Rose, Fennel, Geranium and Camomile. This can help to reduce symptoms.
