| One for the Kids |
Chocolate and Angel Delight Cups.
12oz Plain or Milk cooking Chocolate.
1 pkt Angel Delight.
8 bun cases.
1pkt small coloured Eggs.
Melt Chocolate over pan of hot water, Leave Chocolate over water while you paint the
inside of bun cases with a pastry brush. Leave to set, then do the same twice more. When
finished leave to set for 1 hour. Meanwhile make up Angel Delight as directions on packet.
When cups are set, peel off bun cases carefully and fill Chocolate cups with Angel
Delight. Just before serving, place eggs on top. |

Tuna Noodle Bake.
225g (8oz) dried tagliatelle pasta.
25g (1oz) butter or block margarine.
4 sticks celery, sliced.
1 onion, peeled and finely sliced.
For the sauce.
50g (2oz) soft-tub margarine or butter.
50g (2oz) plain flour.
600ml (1pint) semi-skimmed milk.
1 teaspoon mustard.
50g (2oz) cheddar cheese, grated.
200g (7oz) can tuna chunks in brine, drained.
½ teaspoon Worcestershire sauce.
¼ teaspoon salt.
For the topping.
25g (1oz) crispbreads, crumbled.
30g bag cheese and onion crisps, crumbled.
Preheat oven to 220c/425f/gas 7. Boil pasta according to directions on packet. Meanwhile,
melt butter or marge in a frying pan. Add celery and onion and sauté for 5 minutes.
For the sauce, melt marge in a pan. Stir in flour and cook for 1 minute. Remove from the
heat. Gradually stir in milk until smooth and blended. Very slowly bring to the boil,
stirring, until thickened. Stir in mustard and grated cheese. Drain cooked pasta. In a
large mixing bowl, combine pasta, cheese sauce, sautéed onion and celery, tuna, Worcester
sauce and salt. Transfer to a 1.2 litre (2 pint) baking dish. For the topping, mix
together crispbreads and crisps. Sprinkle over dish. Bake for 25 minutes, or until golden
on top and bubbling around the edge. Serve hot. |

The Annual General Meeting of Cromer & District Branch
of the Parkinson's Disease Society was held on Wednesday Feb 11th at 10.30 am at St John's
Hall, Bond Street, Cromer. |
26 members were present, and we welcomed
special guest Rosie Haywood, Area representative from HQ. After apologies for absence,
minutes of last years meeting and satisfactory reports from both Secretary &
Treasurer, the election of officers was carried out by our President Roy Simpson.

ROYAL AIR FORCES ASSOCIATION |
The Pheasant Hotel at Kelling witnessed a
record attendance at the Branch Lunch on the 24th February with 79 members and friends
present. Derek Shrigley, the Branch Chairman, welcomed the large number of new members and
Friends of RAFA, who had joined since the 1st January. He announced that the Branch had
been awarded two Trophies by the Eastern Area of RAFA as a result of its record Wings Week
Appeal. He said that the President, Sir Colin Turner, the Wings Week Organiser, George
Baker, and he would be attending the Eastern Area AGM at RAF Wyton near Huntingdon on the
13th March to receive the Awards.
He announced that at the AGM on the 12th March at the Southlands Hotel, Sheringham, that
Wing Commander S.C. Blake, the Officer in charge of Operations at RAF Coltishall, would be
the Guest of Honour. He would be taking the place of the Station Commander, Group Captain
G.A. Wright, who unfortunately would be unable to attend.
The Chairman, then called on the Rev Andrew Lane, MBE MA, the Branch Welfare Officer to
talk about his life as an RAF Chaplain. Then followed a highly amusing tale of his life
both at home and overseas with the Royal Air Force.

A big thank you
from Jon & Thea Rowling to all those who attended the Quiz Night at Weybourne Village
Hall on 21st February. It was a sellout and we raised over £300 towards our refurbishment
funds for the hall. Thanks also to Kathy, Pat, Pat No2, Steve & John Beevis for their
help during the evening and thanks to all who donated raffle prizes. Thank you.
