STEAMING TOWARDS THE STATION!
Since the last article, work has continued at a steady pace. We have moved from a state of demolition to one of building and the company artist has been busily painting a variety of sea life on the walls where the old stage used to be.

There is a feeling somewhere between excitement and panic as we approach the week when the play equipment will arrive for installation and wonder if we will ever be ready. The well known phrase from the Thomas books "we think we can, we think we can" is on everyone lips as we count the weeks and days to Easter.  We know that people are watching our progress as some of you have telephoned to ask about parties, which is encouraging on the days when the end seems a long way off. We are all keeping our fingers and toes crossed that we will be ready to open at Easter and if everything is safe for use we will be.

Don't forget those key attractions: Somewhere to come with the pre school children during term time; a comfy chair for Mum and Dad to take a much needed break and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee while the children play; somewhere local for that party, instead of a car journey out of town; and even laser parties for the older children who never find anything "cool" to do in Sheringham. Do ring us on 01263 823100 if you want to know more, or to book a party from May onwards.  So keep watching, when the fence is down and the skips are gone we really will be ready to "Let off Steam"
W.E.A. SATURDAY SCHOOL
ON WINSTON CHURCHILL
The Sheringham Branch of the W.E.A. is holding a one day school on Winston Churchill on Saturday 13th March, from 10.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m, at St Andrew's Methodist Church Hall, Cromer Road, Sheringham. Cost £10.00. The story of Winston Churchill the war leader is well known. Less well known is the story of the father, the husband, the historian and the painter. All these aspects of Churchill's life will be looked at during the Saturday School.  Day Schools are a good way to learn something new and in depth, in a relaxed and friendly environment. All are welcome. Tea and coffee are available. Please make your own lunch arrangements. You are welcome to bring a sandwich and eat in the hall! Pre-enrolment is essential. Please phone Jane Idiens on 01263 837779.

Sheringham Community Paper

I told my little girl to go up to her Aunties house and ask for an egg so I could make my Yorkshire puddings.

She replied, 'I can't go up to Auntie Maudes, she lives down the hill!'
