| A
typical Saturday in Sheringham? |
| We started our evening with our first ever
visit to The Morley Club for their 60s Night with music quiz. We were soon made to
feel very welcome and invited to join with another couple to take part in the quiz. The
food, atmosphere and music were excellent and I highly recommend it to all, well be
back! |
 |
We then went over to watch a hair-raising experience. Dennis Wright showed true grit
on Saturday 10th July at The Tyneside, when in front of a packed club he had his head
shaved to raise money for CLAPA. For Dennis this is a charity close to his heart as his
wife Mary was born with a double cleft and hair lip and since the age of 10 has had at
least ten operations. |
 |
| The Government does not support CLAPA and everything raised goes to the
charity. Dennis is Provincial Grand Primo (Cromer District Province) with the RAOB
(Buffalo's) which means that he is able to choose a charity he wants to support. |
 |
This fundraising event was a true family affair, the whole family have committed time
and money to raise money for the charity. The whole family was dressed in outrageous
costumes for the evening and had already visited several drinking holes shaking their
collection cans. The fantastic sum of £346.00 was raised on the night and they will be
having a tombola on Sheringham Carnival opening day and will also be at Cromer Carnival on
the main day.

 |
| Indeed, it was a typical Saturday in
Sheringham, there is always a variety of entertainment to be enjoyed. |
