Dougal's Pet Corner
The place for your pet stories and pictures, let me have them |
Hullo Dougal,
My name is Becky. I am a black Labrador cross, 15 months old, and I live with my mum in
Sheringham. I love playing ball and with my toys, and going for long walks with my mum's
son Kevin. |
 |
In the winter we
go on the beach, and I come back with my nose all covered with sand, after scraping up big
holes in the beach (they seem big to me). |
We also go in the woods, and I
come back all muddy. A few nights ago, we stayed with my mum's friend in North Walsham -
Aunt Molly. In the morning I came trotting into the bedroom, with a toy in my mouth; it
was Father Christmas off the Christmas tree (they decorate early). "How could she
have got that?" they said, "it was right on the top of the tree." (About
10ft off the ground, as the tree was on the table). They took it away and gave me a toy
dog - not so nice at all. Maybe next time I will get it again - and keep it - after
Christmas.

Bye for now
Love Becky
P.S. I am sending you my picture - maybe we could meet some day? I have no dog-friends. |

| Sheringham Museum News |
Possible new displays for the 2003 season will be the story of golf in Sheringham, and the
many famus people who played, and stayed here together with one detailing the long and
beneficial relationship between the Upcher family, with special emphasis on the family's
associations with the fishing community and the lifeboat service.
It is also planned to extend the existing small display on the life and work of
Sheringham-born fishaman John Craske with examples of both his paintings and embroideries
on show.
If anyone can supply any information, memories or anecdotes on these topics Museum
Curator, Peter Brooks, will be pleased to hear from them;
He can be contacted on 01263 822895.

Please do not forget that a
PET IS NOT JUST FOR CHRISTMAS.
If you are thinking of buying your family a pet of any kind, please really look into the
facts about what you have to do to care for them correctly and safely.
If you do buy an animal it will bring you hours of joy, give you total loyalty and really
be your friend, but only if you treat it right!
Remember, human chocolate can kill your dog!
