LAMB PRESSES FOR
MEETING OVER RATIONING OF
BLOOD GLUCOSE TESTING STRIPS IN NORTH NORFOLK
Norman Lamb, Liberal Democrat MP for North Norfolk, has responded to criticism over North
Norfolk Primary Care Trust's policy of rationing Blood Glucose Testing Strips by calling
for a meeting between the PCT and Diabetes UK North Norfolk Voluntary Group. Mr Lamb has
also written to the Secretary of State for Health, John Reid, asking for his views on the
issue. "Over 10,000 people in the area have diabetes, most of whom are Type
2," said Mr Lamb. "The PCT have been criticised by Diabetes UK for their policy
of rationing people with Type 2 Diabetes to 2 blood testing strips per week. It would seem
to me that the policy of rationing these strips could lead to a greater incidence of
complications related to diabetes. I am very keen to meet with Diabetes UK and the PCT to
discuss the issue further." |

Hi,
Just found your website. For the past five years our entire extended family have met up in
sheringham for carnival week. Sheringham is the most lovely little town and the carnival
really makes our holidays extra special! We realise that there must be an awful lot of
voluntary work put in to make such a brilliant week and would like to send our thanks and
appreciation to everyone involved! See you next carnival week!
