A WONDERFUL LUNCHEON TO END THE YEAR WITH
The last event for the Sheringham & District Branch of the Royal Air Forces Association in 2004 was a Carvery Luncheon held in the Officer’s Mess RAF Coltishall on Tuesday, 30th November as a result of the kind invitation of the Station Commander, Group Captain Graham Wright, OBE BSc.  MRAeS RAF. With a maximum capacity of 100 less five RAF guests, the remaining 95 tickets were sold to Branch Members in a week with 24 disappointed applicants on the waiting list. Our guests were Grp Cpt Graham Wright, Sqd Ldr Mark Fixter, Station Commander RAF Neatishead, Sqd Ldr Roger Dunnet, Flt Lt Liz Shaw, and Flt Lt Ian Forster.
Photograph of RAFA luncheon The actual Luncheon was an outstanding success. The food was delicious, the wine was fine, the service first class and everyone enjoyed themselves.

Sir Colin Turner thanked the Group Captain for inviting the Branch and all those many people at RAF Coltishall and RAF Neatishead, who had helped the Branch over the last 10 years. The Group Captain made a short speech and the Branch Chairman, Derek Shrigley proposed the Vote of Thanks.  The profit from the Lunch was £338.00 and the Prize Draw £343.18 making a good start for the 2005 Wings Week Campaign.
