All proceeds from the performances go towards theatre funds, so please come and offer support to this wonderful little treasure we are so lucky to have it and long may it continue! It is not always easy, indeed it is often very hard to follow this advice, especially when you are then thanked by rudeness. So people out there, if someone opens a door and allows you passage, say thank you or at least smile! If someone lets you go first on the road - acknowledge his or her help. If someone picks up something you have dropped and gives it back, say thank you. If common courtesy is met with thanks or a smile, it makes life just that little bit brighter and encourages people to do it again. Walk down the street with a bounce in your step and a smile on your face and you will find that people smile back, a little ray of sunshine in what sometimes seems to be a very bad world. Say hello to people you pass in the street regularly, most will say hello back, this can often then build into a conversation over a period of time until before you know it you have made a friend. JOAN
Clare says What better way to raise money for a great cause than to
cycle around one of the region's most beautiful and historic houses. I've spent many happy
days walking in the grounds of Blickling Hall - now you can take in the scenery on two
wheels as well. It'll be a fabulous day out for the whole family and most importantly
it'll provide vital funding for local Macmillan cancer services. After your
exertions, tasty refreshments will be available to help you get your strength back in
Blicklings attractive picnic area. All we ask is for each individual cyclist
to raise at least £25 and each family of four (2 adults and 2 children) to raise at least
£60 in sponsorship to fund vital local cancer services. A limited bike hire service
will be available on a first come first served basis, which can be booked on registration
for the event. (We ask all cyclists to register for the event in advance, whether you are
bringing your own bike, or wish to hire a bike.) Please note that cyclists will not
be able to register for the event on the day. The Bike Blickling cycle
ride has been kindly sponsored by Sekura-Byk the only name in cycle security.
If you would like to get on your bike for Macmillan Cancer Relief in Norfolk, then
please call Jess at the Norfolk fundraising office on 01603 626433 to register for our
sponsored cycle. Once you have registered, we will send you your entry pack which is
crammed with fundraising tips, information on the event and sponsorship forms. (Please
note that there is a registration fee of £5 per cyclist over 5 years old). So see
you in June for a great day out to support vital cancer services in our local community! Sheringham and District Flower
