Another new business opened its doors in town, 19a High Street above
Uptown Girl is now Uptown Girl Beauticians. The salon has had extensive renovations as it
was unused for over 70 years and was just a dirty, unkempt loft space. Now when you walk
through the door you enter a warm inviting salon and are greeted by a friendly smile from
Ellen and Elsie.
Ellen Morris, our very own Carnival Queen and Elsie Cates are both qualified beauticians
and are more than happy to provide you with some well deserved pampering. Anything from
facials, ear piercing, nail extensions, waxing, manicures and pedicures through to
massages and tanning including the ultimate high power vertical sunbed, nothing is too
much trouble and you will leave feeling absolutely marvellous. Special packages are also
available for you Brides to be or for you lucky people off on your holidays. They use top
of the range products including St Tropez tanning, OPI nail range, ID Bare Essentials
make-up and Germaine de Cappuccini facials.
