STAR PERFORMANCE AT PASTON

In the year in which Paston celebrates the bicentenary of its most famous son, Nelson's victory at Trafalgar, the College's students have again risen to the challenge and "expectations" of the modern sixth form college in their A/AS examinations.
"The 2005 results are remarkable "said Peter Mayne. "I know that this is what everyone expects of Paston, but the 2005 results are again something special. The outstanding results are a tribute to the hard work of teachers and students and the high expectations we have of them".  With pass rates of 97% at A level, 90% at AS and 100% at AVCE, Paston students exceeded the national average for all colleges and school sixth forms and increased the percentage achieving higher grades. No wonder there were so many smiling faces".  "What a wonderful salute to Paston as we commemorate "Trafalgar 200" and our 21st birthday as North Norfolk's sixth form college" said Mr Mayne.  "The achievement of 2005 continues an exceptional and consistent track record for A-level students at the North Walsham college.  This year 15 out of the 25 A level courses and 8 out of 31 AS courses had 100% pass rates.   As ever there were some excellent individual achievements:
