LITTLE GREEK BISCUITS

12oz/ 340g plain flour
1teaspoon salt
4oz/100g icing sugar
9oz/ 255g softened butter or margarine
1 egg and 2 egg yolks
3 tablespoons brown sugar

Sift the flour into a bowl. Add the salt, icing sugar and butter or margarine and mix well together with a fork until fine and crumbly. Add the egg yolks and mix to a smooth dough. Shape into a large ball, cut in half, and roll each half into a fairly thin 'sausage' shape. Leave in the fridge for about 3 hours to firm up, then beat the whole egg and roll the two 'sausage' shapes first in the beaten egg, then in the brown sugar. Cut into thin rounds and place the rounds on greased baking sheets. Bake in a moderately hot oven (400 F 200 C, gas mark 6) for 10 minutes, turning the baking sheets round halfway through the baking time. Leave until cool before storing in an airtight box or tin. These biscuits keep well for up to 10 days.

IT'S THAT TIME OF YEAR AGAIN, OH YES IT IS!!!

Sheringham Little Theatre, in association with Spillers Pantomimes is delighted to announce that this year’s pantomime at the Little Theatre will be the much loved story of 'Aladdin and his Magical Lamp'.  The stars of the show will be children's T.V. favourites, Bananas in Pyjamas.

Debbie Thompson, Artistic Director of The Little Theatre, explains: “We wanted a traditional pantomime this year with something special for children”.  There will be plenty to entertain adults too with singing, dancing, comedy and lots of audience participation.

Greg Powells joins in the fun too. A versatile performer, Greg is known to Sheringham audiences for his straight acting roles with Transaction Theatre Company and known to North Norfolk Radio listeners for being the cheery morning presenter. He is also a member of the infamous Keith Skipper Press Gang.

Aladdin and his Magical Lamp runs from 13th December to 3rd January. Tickets on sale from 3rd August. Box Office 01263 822347.

THANK YOU

I am a pensioner in my mid 80s; on Friday August 26th I had a nasty fall by the bus stop on station approach. I was pleasantly surprised when a group of teenagers rushed to my assistance. This group of boys and girls were kind and very concerned about me, asking me if I wanted them to call the paramedics. I don't know who these young people were, but would like to give them my very sincere thanks for their kindness and concern. I would also like to thank Hilary for running me through to Cromer Hospital where it was found that I had fractured my pelvis, from which I am now on the road to recovery. Thanks to you all again.
Yours Sincerely, Molly Trabucchi. Bedford Mews
