East Coast Warriors U11s 5 v 1 Colt Jags
East Coast notched up another victory in a hard fought encounter with Colt Jags, East Coast from the outset pushed forward and squandered a hat-full of chances until Jodi Norris struck a fine shot from just in past the box past the keeper.  East Coast then managed to add to there score line after Jacob Knowles ran down the left wing and crossed the ball for Will Parker to knock in.  East Coast then got a little over confident and began to lose there shape all over the field, with Coltishall capitalizing on some poor defending and going close from a corner.  At half time it was 2-0 to East Coast.
In the second half East Coast pushed forward again, the ball found its way out to Nick Blake who lobbed the ball over the keeper's head.  Coltishall to their credit kept battling and were rewarded with a goal when a defensive clearance went right across the goal for a Coltishall striker to latch on to it and fire it home.  East Coast pushed up again and put the Coltishall defence under a lot of pressure and after some ping-pong in the box the ball dropped for Josh Glister to chip it over the keepers head.  East Coast then got there fifth when a Cameron Humphrey shot was deflected past the keeper, who had, had a really good game for Coltishall making some terrific saves.  Special mention must go to the back four of East Coast and especially Daniel Beasey who was the most outstanding player on the pitch looking supremely confident with everything he done.

Old Catton B U11s 0 v 6 East Coast Warriors U11s
East Coast continued their recent run of good form with a win over Old Catton B, from the start of the match East Coast put Catton under pressure and took the lead with a fine strike from outside of the box by Nick Blake.  East Coast kept pushing forward and went close on numerous occasions, but after some fine work by the midfield of East Coast a fine ball across the box was put in by Ali Burghall who was turning in another solid display, at half time it was 2-0 to East Coast.
In the second half East Coast carried on where they left off and soon added to there score line when Ben Conn ran in and struck the ball past the Catton keeper.  Nick Blake scored his second of the match and soon after got his Hat-Trick when from a corner Josh Glister headed the ball goal wood for the keeper to make a terrific save it then rebounded to Tom Harrison who had it cleared off the line and then up popped Nick Blake to knock it in.  East Coast then made it six when Jodi Norris steamed down the wing and when it looked like he was going to shoot, unselfishly passed to Will Parker for him to stroke the ball home. It was another improving performance by East Coast with the defence and midfield looking very solid and now looking hard to break down.

SEA SCOUT GROUP

Leaders from the Town's Scout Group recently had cause to celebrate when they were invited to dinner at RAF Coltishall as guests of the Base Commander in recognition of their outstanding achievement in growing the movement.  This is the fourth successive year that the Leader Team received such an accolade from their colleagues in Norfolk Scouting for their dedication to local youngsters.  The Group's success continues with the opening in January of a second Cub Scout Pack on Wednesday evenings, under the watchful eye of Group Leader Sheila Parriss.  This will compliment the two Beaver Colonies, two Scout Troops and the other Cub Pack that already operate from the Group HQ in De Morley Garth.  The Group offers scouting to girls and boys from the age of five and three quarters upwards and welcomes new members into any of the sections.  For information about joining the Group, contact the Membership Secretary on 01263 825644.
