WI MEMBERS SWIM FOR CHILDREN'S HOSPICE

By kind permission of Splash Leisure and Fitness Centre, a team of five members of sheringham EveningWI are taking part in a sponsored swim in aid of the EACH Children's Hospice at Quidenham.  They will take to the water on Thursday 16th March, swimming 40 lengths each - a total of 5000 metres.  East Anglian Children's Hospices care for the terminally ill children and their families and last year 350 families were given support and help.  EACH will need £4.7 million to carry out their essential work for this year, of which only approximately 10% is received from statutory sources, making voluntary income absolutely vital. Hospices nationally are struggling to keep going and only recently Quidenham announced that some of its work would have to be cut back.   If anyone wishes to sponsor the WI swimmers or would like to make a donation, please contact the Institute secretary: Mrs Maureen Cook, 33 Woodland Rise West, Sheringham. Telephone 01263 822154
