NORFOLK'S AMBER MODELS CATCH WORLD CUP FEVER

A bevy of Norfolk booty's created a stir in Cromer during an International photo shoot complete with flags and their own stylish blend of white and red.  When it comes to supporting the English National Football team it's evident that Norfolk lasses can compete with the rest of the Nation with unrivalled passion and drama that surrounds the World Cup.

Unsuspecting customers at the Cliftonville Hotel in Cromer were served up with a different kind of dessert during lunch when the models arrived in reception.  They were greeted by patriotic cheers of approval after being whisked away from an array of camera flashes into the changing area the hotel had sponsored for the day.

The shoot was sparked off after a member of the tabloid press dined at The Constantia Cottage Restaurant at East Runton last month and suggested the idea to Andreas Yiasimi, head of Amber Models UK.
"I didn't really click onto the idea" said Andreas, "until I had a chat with one of the leading sports journalists that writes for The Daily Mirror, he was intrigued by the fact there was so much going on in our region and he recommended contacts and London newspapers to send pictures to'".
The photographs have coincided with a prestigious interview with Kerrang Radio in Birmingham that may pave the way for a monthly airing featuring girls from the poplar North Norfolk coast.

SEASIDE SPECIAL PAVILION THEATRE

Seaside Special - the most famous 'End-of-the-Pier' Show in England opened last month.  This 29th year of a show that is always breaking box office records promises to be as popular today than in the early years back in the 1970s and the audiences are getting younger.  More families and young people are booking to see the show and this year for the first time ever they are introducing a family ticket.

Rory Holburn, Commercial Director said, "We are aware that as popular as the show is we need to encourage a new audience and by offering a family ticket we hope we can begin to build our audience for the next 29 years and beyond" he went on, "we are very proud of Seaside Special and intend it to be our 'flag-ship' show.  We have recently taken operational control of the Spa Pavilion Theatre at Felixstowe and the Pier Theatre Bournemouth and are very excited at the prospect of showing off the most famous 'End-of-the-Pier' in England to visitors from our two new venues".

This years show is directed and choreographed by Di Cooke, who over the past two years has gained a reputation for her snappy routines and classic dance numbers.

Musical Director, Nigel Hogg makes a welcome return to the theatre alongside a new percussionist Kieran Parker who is making his first appearance at the Pavilion Theatre.

CAPTURE THE THIEVES

Norfolk Constabulary's Crime Reduction Department have launched a new campaign to encourage people buying second-hand vehicles to take a photograph of the seller before they hand over any cash.

The campaign is modelled on an idea developed by West Midlands Police following an increase in the number buyers who are conned into handing over thousands of pounds for vehicles which they later discover are stolen.

By taking a few simple precautions, buyers of second-hand cars, caravans and motorcycles can dramatically reduce their chances of being a victim. The campaign aims to educate buyers and suggest that they follow these steps:

Ensure you visit the sellers home - don't do a deal in a car park or let them visit your home.
Don't pay cash - if there is a dispute later, there is no way of tracing the seller.   Pay by banker's draft, which will at least leave an audit trail.
Check the vehicle registration number against the engine number and chassis number.
Consider taking a photograph of the seller standing in front of the vehicle, ensuring the registration is clearly on show.  If people are genuine sellers, they should have no reason to object.  If the car is then identified as stolen, it will assist the police in tracing the person.
Take advantage of the services which companies provide such as the AA and RAC where they offer a vehicle check prior to the purchase.
If you are selling a vehicle yourself, do not give the vehicle's chassis and engine number to anyone enquiring about the vehicle over the phone.
