WHAT A WONDERFUL WORLD

Well over 3,000 people visited St. Andrew's Methodist Church, Sheringham, during four days at the beginning of July.  The reason for their visit was the annual Flower Festival.  They came from far and wide, several coach parties (one making a 4 hour journey each way) as well as families and individuals who book their holidays to be in the area for the Festival.  This year's theme was 'What a Wonderful World' and this was depicted in 27 large floral arrangements including: 'The Four Seasons', 'The Impact of Colour', 'All things Bright and Beautiful', 'World Wide Web', 'In the Beginning', and some of the Wonders of the World such as the Great Barrier Reef, the Northern Lights and the Pyramids of Giza.

All the visitors also enjoyed browsing round the various stalls including handicafts made by church members and partaking of refreshments, light lunches and cream teas in the cafeteria.  The Flower Festival is an important event in the life of the church, not only financially, but in the outreach work, allowing people to see our beautiful church and to feel at home here.  A record amount was received at this years Festival - £13,450.46 this is towards the upkeep and work of the church and a donation will be given to Sheringham Salvation Army rebuilding project!

We are grateful for the help of so many members and friends of St. Andrew's for this wonderful effort.

The date for your diary for next year is 5th - 8th July 2007
