NORMAN LAMB TO MEET SUBPOSTMASTERS IN WESTMINSTER

Norman Lamb, Liberal Democrat MP for North Norfolk, will tomorrow speak with sub-postmasters from Norfolk as they protest in Westminster.  The National Federation of Subpostmasters, including a number of subpostmasters from Norfolk, will hand over a petition to the Government with over 4 million signatures calling for an end to the uncertainty over the future of the post office network.

Mr Lamb, who recently handed to the Government his own post office petition of 6,000 people in North Norfolk, said, "Post offices provide a vital service to many living in rural areas.  I know from my campaigns in North Norfolk that there is very strong support for local post offices.  The Government should recognise the social value of the post office network and ensure that it has a sustainable future."

Mr Lamb's petition called for the Government to retain the Post Office Card Accounts, due to end in 2010.  The Liberal Democrats have a £2billion investment plan for the post office network, based on proposals put forward by Norman Lamb.

PLAYED TO PERFECTION!

Once again a packed Copeman Centre at Briston was the venue on Friday October 27th, when the latest in a series of organ shows featured David Thomas at the fabulous Roland Atelier organ.

Not only could we hear this skilled performer playing just about everything from Latin to Big Band, some jazz in the style of the Pasadena Roof Orchestra, several excellent Marches,
and lively Rock and Roll numbers, but we were able to see his nimble hands in close up via a video link to a large screen set up alongside the organ!  He had a quick and wicked sense of humour too, so we got plenty of laughs as well as superb musical entertainment!

As usual, all profits from the Raffel and refreshments benefited the Copeman Centre Funds, this time to the tune of £97 - kindly made up to the round figure of £100 by one of the happy audience members as he left after this amazing live music performance.  Thank you all so much for your kind support.
