Something Special for Pancake Day
COFFEE AND CREAM CREPES
4oz (100g) plain flour
1/2 pt (300ml) milk
1 large egg
Sunflower oil for frying
1/2 pt (300ml) whipping cream
2 tbsp (30ml) icing sugar
2 tbsp (30ml) cold strong coffee liquid
3 oranges, skin & pith removed and segmented
Few thin strips of orange rind
Place flour, milk & egg in a blender & blend until smooth. Heat approx. 2 tsp
(10ml) oil in an 8" (20cm) diameter non-stick frying pan.
Pour over enough batter to just cover pan & cook for 2 - 3 mins until golden brown,
turn over & cook other side. Repeat with remaining batter to make 8 pancakes. Slide
onto grease-proof paper layering each one.
Whip cream until stiff & fold in sugar & coffee. Divide between pancakes &
scatter over orange segments. Fold in half & half again to form quarters.
Serve dusted with caster sugar & orange strips. |

Potties have now returned to the place where it all began 17 years ago in 1986, home to
The Lobster Pub. |

This year The Potties are sharing out
£400.00 to East Anglian Air Ambulance, Sheringham Museum Trust, Sheringham in Bloom and
the Town Christmas Lights committee.
They welcome anyone who can play an instrument or just people who are looking to keep fit
and have fun!! We meet every Tuesday at 7.30pm at The Lobster. For any more information
