I would like to thank Sheringham Social Club for their contribution of £50 to North Norfolk Voluntary Group, Diabetes U.K. The incidence of diabetes is approaching epidemic proportions and much money is needed to fund research.
Yours truly, Rita Warman (Mrs)

LARGE CHEQUE FOR NORTH NORFOLK RAILWAY AND EAST ANGLIA AIR AMBULANCE
Jenny Egmore, Debbie Brooks and Geoff Gowing took part in the Great North Run back in October 2002 to raise money for the North Norfolk Railway and East Anglia Air Ambulance. Between them they raised a whopping £1630. North Norfolk Railway received the donation of £800 on a beautiful, crisp sunny afternoon. Debbie raised £430 mainly from her co-workers at Mintech Semi-Conductors of Norwich and friends. Peter Mendham was on hand to receive the cheque for £830 on behalf of the EA Air Ambulance.  This is not the first time these Reepham Runners have taken part in this half marathon, Geoff has now completed it four times and Jenny three, it was Debbie's first year, but she has already signed up for 2003!
Sheringham Community Paper Anyone interested in contacting the Reepham Runners Club should contact: 01603 872837. The North Norfolk Railway is a great asset to Sheringham and all fundraising is very much appreciated. Sheringham Community Paper
The East Anglia Air Ambulance is a registered charity and is totally reliant on fundraising to keep it in the air. In Norfolk, the Air Ambulance is vital as we have been defined as the most rural area in the country, and Addenbrooks Hospital is Cambridge is the only one in East Anglia which deals with major trauma and getting there via road is time consuming when time is of the essence. £750,000 per year is needed for a full 7 day a week service.

If you wish to fundraise on behalf of the East Anglia Air Ambulance contact Peter on 07909 862422
